After researching and interviewing more than 20 organizations that certify companies as being green, he came across Certified Green Partners. Suddenly, everything clicked.
“A lot of green certification is for marketing purposes only,” Dawson says. “I was looking for an organization that talked the talk and walked the walk, and Certified Green Partners does just that.”
But what does it mean to run a green auto center? It means biodegradable engine oil and the same recycled oil used in U.S. Armed Services’ Hummers. It also means recycled antifreeze, buying in bulk to reduce packaging, and eco-friendly tires.

In the waiting area, guests are greeted with hardwood floors; a big-screen television and video game system for the kids to enjoy; complimentary soda, juice, and coffee; and an Internet café that allows you to keep working when you’re not at work.
Mark Badovick began coming to Eco-Friendly Auto Center when it first opened in the spring of 2010. He was immediately impressed.
“Sully and his crew do what they promise, they do it in a timely fashion, and they do it for the price you’re quoted,” he says. “They actually care about you and want to get your vehicle back on the road safely and without doing the environment any harm.”
Because of this, Badovick uses the center for all sorts of work on his 30th anniversary 1997 Camaro and his S-10 Chevy. He has turned to the degreed and accredited mechanics at Eco-Friendly Auto Center for air conditioning work, pulley and rear axle replacement, oil changes, and new tires. He is also quick to sing the praises of Sully and crew.
Hence why his daughter drives 35 minutes to Eco-Friendly Auto Center any time her car needs work. And when Badovick’s boss came in for a routine oil change at Badovick’s recommendation, Badovick’s trust was again validated.
“The oil change was finished before my boss’s ride could get to the shop to pick him up,” Badovick recalls. “That’s madness!”
